Neat building...

Here's a cute little building in Wiesbaden. I just love to see all these buildings tucked in and around every corner. Isn't it kind of cute? (December 7, 2007)

Still in Wiesbaden

I strolled along and took pictures of this building (can't remember the German name anymore, sorry) for Brandon (see bottom picture). It is the casino in Wiesbaden, Germany. Top picture is one of the two fountains (notice there is still water flowing in DECEMBER) as well as another cool building across the street. (December 7, 2007).

Don't worry, I'm almost getting to some "fun" pictures. Keep checking back for more!

Back in Wiesbaden, Germany

These pictures were taken as I walked around Wiesbaden on Friday, December 7, 2007. Just some buildings and such that I thought looked unique for Germany and made nice pictures. The bottom picture is a little stream I happened upon as I walked through a "park-like" area. Very peaceful and nice. Don't the buildings look cool? Love it!

Stuttgart, Germany (last post from here)

I took a couple pictures of the big church in the middle of Stuttgart. I am always amazed at how large these big, old churches are in Germany. Gotta love it there! (December 6, 2007)

Russian Dudes in Germany

While shopping in the Christmas Markets, you never know what (or who) you will find. In Stuttgart we walked by these Russian (I think they are anyway) guys singing on the side of the street. They were pretty cute all dressed up in their outfits and fuzzy hats. Just had to snap a quick picture of them. (December 6, 2007)

My trip toStuttgart

On December 6th, I took a little bus trip with Marni and Friends to Stuttgart, Germany, so we could check out the Christmas Market there. Here's a couple pictures of the decor on top of the shop stalls. Amazing they put so much work into decorating even the tops!

More Americans in Germany

One night we went on a mission to find the home of Steve and Lisa Rusnak--more Americans that moved to Germany in 2007 (August actually). They live near Wiesbaden and it wasn't TOO difficult to find their house. Nice to see you guys!

Here are a couple pictures that I snapped of Wiesbaden at night while I was waiting for Guy to get done with work. The top pictures is the shopping area where no cars are allowed to drive (Marktplatz) and th bottom pictures (also in the Marktplatz area) is the Christmas Market by night! Isn't it just NICE? Ya gotta luv Germany!

More of Wiesbaden

So one day I walked around Wiesbaden and snapped pictures of various things. Just so I could remember what "German" things look like:). So here is a picture of the train station and also some strange bird that was in the park area across from the train station. Can anyone name that bird?

Crown Plaza, Wiesbaden

One night when talking to Anastasia, she REALLY wanted to know what the room looked like where we were staying. Again, not very exciting, but I took pictures for her to see. So here you go, Anastasia, the inside of our hotel room in Wiesbaden.

Dinner with Roy and Marni

So after a hard day of shopping in Frankfurt, we regrouped at Roy and Marni's house. Roy picked up some friends who flew in from England, Guy met us at the house, and the kids were home from school. We headed out to a local place (can't recall the name right now, but they served good Italian food) for dinner. Paco the dog even joined us for dinner out.. isn't it neat that dogs can join in all the social event there? (December 4, 2007)

More at Marni's...

Back at Marni's, here is a quick picture of the outside of their house. The bottom picture is the Opel that Marni is cruising around in. (December 4, 2007).

More of Frankfurt

I took this picture because I thought it was a good shot to show the contrast between old and new which is what you see in Frankfurt. You just don't see things like this in America. (December 4, 2007)

Still Frankfurt on Tuesday...

If I remember correctly, this is the opera house in Frankfurt (notice the umbrella-like thing behind the man? that's the secret passage to the parking garage below where our car was "hiding" for a period of time).

The bottom picture is the "fountain" in front of the opera house. It is decked out with lights for Christmas. I'm sure it looks really awesome at night, but we didn't stay that late. (Tuesday, December 4, 2007)

Frankfurt with Suzie

Marni took me on a shopping adventure in Frankfurt. Here's a picture of Marni with her friend Suzie (who also happens to be a neighbor). Suzie is a very nice lady and I enjoyed meeting her!
